Happy Birthday, Ben!

Although we celebrated this last Saturday, today is Ben's first birthday. I can hardly believe it has been a year since he entered this world. It feels like he has always been here. However, at 4:42am on February 25th, 2008, our 8 lb 5 oz little boy was born in the same room he was conceived. What a blessing he is, and the experience of his birth was.

Lucy helped Ben open almost ALL his gifts.

She is disappointed the shirt wasn't for her...I guess we should get one for her as well.

Ben is ready for the festivities to be over...

Benjamin - I thank the Lord that He has given you to your daddy and I to rear and give you the guidance and knowledge of His truth and way. I pray that He makes you His own and that your life would bring Him the glory that He deserves. May the desires of your heart be "less of me, more of You". You are a joy to me, and I love you more than you'll ever know. Happy Birthday, Son.

What a beautiful post. It is very difficult to believe he is one! He is a beautiful baby boy and a very precious gift from God. We pray that he comes to know the Lord at an early age and serves the Lord faithfully all the days of his life. Give him hugs and kisses from our family.

(Not unexpectedly, your cakes surpassed the inspiration cakes. They were not only beautiful to see, but tasted great!)

Much love,

Wow, what a sweet boy! I am going to need to take a cake decorating class from you!!! It looked wonderful! You have the prettiest smile, especially when you are holding your kiddos....so precious. We miss you soooo much. I pray that the kids get better soon so we can see you again. Thank you so much for watching Peter for us the other day, it was such a blessing!
