Lucy's Birthday & Party

Lucy's birthday was so much fun. We celebrated as a family on Friday (her actual birthday), opened her gifts and took her to Tres Joses for lunch (the girl loves Tex-Mex, and asks for beans, rice, tortillas, chips and salsa all the time!).

Here she is with a crown made by Auntie Erin.

Testing out the apron, broom and mop that goes with her kitchen.

Look! She is already a good, little helper.

On Saturday we celebrated Lucy's birthday with Nana, friends from playgroup, our old church, and our new church. It was a bit crazy with 15 kids/babies, and almost twice as many adults. However, it was lots of fun!

Here is her barnyard cake (complete with a pig in a mud puddle).

Farm animal cookies.

Everyone was singing "happy birthday" here. She got very shy and hid her face. I don't think she knew what to think about it all.

The people.

The kids (minus babies). Notice anything interesting? Lucy is the ONLY girl!

Lucy modeling her new princess outfit from Nana. She started stripping off her own clothes as soon as she saw it. I guess you could say she likes it...though I think that is putting it mildly.

Wow! It looks like so much fun. Such a cute and fun age, too!

That was such a great birthday party! I am glad we went...and I still think it is hilarious that Lucy was the only girl...it tells you what kind of friends she keeps! LOL
